Brendan is a self-taught Newfoundland and Labrador artist. He complemented his art education by studying with Edwin Matthews of Gallery on the Lake in Ontario and with Ed Roche Fine Art.
His art has featured at Emma Butler Studio in St. John’s. Brendan has participated in Fine Art shows at Emma Butlers as well as Private shows in Newfoundland.
Brendan’s Artworks are in the Hibernia Collection and the Newfoundland and Labrador Art Collection, as well as numerous pieces in Canada and USA, England and Switzerland.
He has taught Watercolor Painting for over 25 years and has instructed for the City of St. John’s Adult Watercolor Program 8yrs.
Brendan’s private teaching has been interrupted by the Covid Pandemic. It is hoped that he will be able to resume in the near future.
When asked the typical question, “How long did it take you to paint that?” Brendan’s response is, “One hour and thirty years!”
